The Faction Collective’s got a new video series
Last season the Faction Collective made some serious waves with their team movie This is Home, which captured Faction’s stellar team of riders (Thovex, Anthamatten, Ollila, Collinson, Hall — just to name a few!) doing what they do best on their home turf. With its delightful blend of freestyle and freeride, streets and backcountry, This Is Home was loudly acclaimed as “the best team movie in a long time, ” eliciting comparisons to other standout team films like Oakley’s Session 1242 and Armada’s Oil & Water.
Now, filmmaker and skier Etienne Merel, the driving creative force behind This is Home and the highly successful “We Are the Faction Collective” video series that came before it, is back in action with the Verbier-based ski company for another season. For this go-round, Faction and Merel return to a serial concept, promising a three-part series that will follow Faction athletes from the steeps of La Grave and the powder pillows of British Columbia, before ending on a Ruka spring park jam.
With Faction’s formidable team and Merel in the director’s chair, we’re excited to see what visual spectacles the Collective will deliver in 2018/19.
