The second release this winter from Sammy Carlson was filmed in British Columbia in the winter of 2024. Despite a weak snowpack, Sammy got out there and made the best of it, taking the opportunity to build more jumps than in recent seasons. Sammy’s focus had shifted away from building jumps, towards riding natural lines and finding natural airs, as he described to us in a recent interview but the lack of precipitation in BC over the winter forced his hand and “Echo” is the result.

The ninja from Mt Hood’s versatility is only matched by the ski that he is riding – the Armada Whitewalker. His pro model seems as happy buttering through deep powder as it does flying across wind-buffeted crust – or is that only because they are strapped to the feet of skiing’s modern GOAT?

Sammy’s fortunes changed as he went north to Alaska – if you have not seen Sammy’s primary project from last winter, check out GROWN here.
