Ben Richards has signed with THE NORTH FACE, the company announced earlier this month. The multi-talented New Zealand skier will join TNF's Australia and New Zealand team.
Born in California but raised in Wanaka, Ben spent years racing before making the switch to freeride competition in 2019. His recent results include a win at the Verbier FWQ 4* in 2022 and a second-place finish at The North Face FWQ 4* at the Remarkables.
I am super excited to be joining The North Face team. Locally and internationally, The North Face has so many inspiring people involved with the brand, so to be a part of that truly means a lot.” -Ben Richards
Ben is much more than just a freeride competitor, however. His talent has also graced the silver screen on multiple occasions, such as in the recently released short project from The North Face, Lake Alta. A member of the Line Skis squad, he's also got his fair share of game in the park, too, which you can see on display in edits like Gavin Rudy's "Penken State of Mond" and Line's spring-break edit from Crans-Montana, "Chicken Sedan."
Congratulations on the come-up, Ben! We're excited to see what else you've got in store in the seasons ahead.
