The Freeride World Tour is moving forward quickly. Following a great event last week in a powder-blessed Val Thorens, the third tour stop is already happening today, February 7 in Canada. Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is a regular on the FWT calendar since 2018 and the venue for this year’s competition will be once again the Ozone face, a well-established competition site offering a big variety of terrain. Both classic big mountain lines and more freestyle-oriented routes are at hand for the riders on a venue that has brought us several iconic moments in the past, like Max Hitzig’s gigantic backflip last year or Craig Murray’s massive flatspin in 2019. Both riders won’t be competing today, but there is no lack of talent on the 2025 Freeride World Tour and the battle for the spots in the two-stop final later this season is heating up.
The competition starts at 9:00 am Standard Mountain Time, which is 5:00 pm Central European Time. Snowboarders are going first with Ski Men last in the starting order, so here in Europe we’re going to be able to follow the action while having dinner. As always, you can follow the live stream on the FWT website.
