The Fieberbrunn Pro, the first of two contests in the FWT Finals, is confirmed for this Thursday, March 14.
As already mentioned in our FWT Finals Preview the weather looks favorable for this Thursday and now the competition is officially confirmed to start at 8:30 with the ski women. Ski men will follow after the snowboard women and snowboard men will conclude the starting order. The forecast for Thursday isn’t ideal, so maybe there will be changes, but as it looks now, we are going to see yet another spectacle on the Wildseeloder. To cite the official press release:
“Competition has been confirmed for this Thursday, March 14, as an average of 12 cm of fresh snow has already covered the face, with more precepitations expected overnight. As temperatures will rise from Thursday onwards, this appears to be the best option to run the competition under safe and fair conditions for all riders.
“The competition will take place on the well-know Wildseeloder, a face that gained its reputation among the FWT classics due to its steepness, long vertical drop, and seemingly endless selection of gnarly lines. With a drop of 583 m and an average gradient of 48°, this venue never fails to deliver an incredible show. Riders in all categories will enjoy a two-run format, where only the highest-scoring run will be counted. This format offers them two opportunities to execute the perfect run, promising to elevate the level even higher.”
The live coverage will start at 8:15 CET and you can watch the livestream on the official FWT Website or simply here:
