A new invention, allowing everyone to get super-steady shots from their POV camera while laying down a fat powder slash or stomping a new trick, has just been launched. The SLICK Stabilizer is a 3-axis stabilizer for GoPro cameras created by a young engineering student and will only become reality with enough support in its pre-order Indiegogo campaign. Freeride World Champion Xavier De La Rue (FRA) has been testing it along his travels, “Shaky GoPro footage is one of the last remaining problems with capturing action sports. I think that SLICK is really the perfect solution. Its light, its durable and its completely weatherproof is something I’ve been dreaming of for the past decade.”
Two months out of university, frenchman Thomas Agaraté decided to put his passion for skiing and engineering together and created a product that is simple, yet possibly the most useful and versatile GoPro accessory you will ever need. Launching it on indiegogo to crowdfund the project means everyone can get involved and receive a discount price by pre-ordering their very own SLICK stabiliser.
SLICK is shock resistant, weatherproof and is compatible with all modern GoPro cameras and mounts. It can even be used on drones! At $179 for the Early Bird takers ($229 normal price). The campaign closes on 2nd October.
