Preview: Freeski World Cup Corvatsch | March 26-27, 2021

With 50,000 Swiss francs on the line, the world’s best freeskiers will return to the Corvatsch Park at Silvaplana near St. Moritz, Switzerland on March 26-27 for the final event of the 2021 FIS Freestyle World Cup season.

With event cancellations in Seiser Alm, Italy and Font Romeu, France, this year’s World Cup slopestyle season has been shortened significantly from five stops to three. After the season opener in Stubai, Austria in November 2020, where Tess Ledeux and Andri Ragettli took the wins, the circuit will continue this month in Aspen, Colorado on March 18-21 before returning to Switzerland for the season finale.

The slopestyle at Corvatsch has become known for its innovative course designs, and the team behind park boss Kobi Würsch will once again look to shake things up in 2021 with a creative setup.

Hot off of his X Games gold medal in Big Air and with three crystal globes (overall FIS World Cup slopestyle titles) in his pocket, local favorite Andri Ragettli will be one to watch in Corvatsch — but don’t count out other big names like Øystein Bråten, Ferdinand Dahl and Nick Goepper. On the women’s side, heavy hitters like Kelly Sildaru, Tess Ledeux and Mathilde Gremaud will be in contention for the podium.

As always with FIS events, watching the contest live will be a challenge with broadcasting rights split among providers in different countries. We’ll keep you updated on the best ways to watch the contest on TV and online.
