Champions return for the make-or-break stop in the Austrian Alps: Markus Eder and Nadine Wallner have received Wildcard spots for the Freeride World Tour event in Fieberbrunn, part of the massive Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn resort complex.
These former champions need no introduction. Eder, the Italian wunderkid and 2019 overall tour winner, dominated the competition circuit last season with wins in Hakuba and on Fieberbrunn's Wildseeloder face (here's an interview after his win last year). After six seasons on the tour, Eder took a step back this year to focus on film projects.

Wallner, meanwhile, has two FWT titles to her name from 2013 and 2014, including a victory in Fieberbrunn. Since her last season on the tour in 2017, she's released her own film project, Now or Never. Here's an interview with Nadine from last year's Downdays magazine.

The Fieberbrunn stop is the last chance for riders to secure one of the limited spots for the tour finals in Verbier. With a tight leaderboard, 13 Ski Men and 6 Ski Women spots on the line and these new wildcards in the mix, we can’t wait how things shake out in Austria. After all, we’re talking about the guy who nose buttered the Bec des Rosses, so you won’t want to miss this one.
