After three rounds and thousands of votes cast, the 2017 Downdays European Skier of the Year contest is getting down to the wire! Your votes have selected eight semifinalists out of a starting field of 54 skiers representing 14 different nations. Now come the really hard choices: which two men and two women will advance to the final round?
In the Men’s Semifinals, two very different Swedish styles meet as Jesper Tjäder faces off against Henrik Harlaut. Then, it’s a battle of freestyle versus freeride as Spanish big-mountain charger Aymar Navarro challenges Finnish style master Antti Ollila.
In the Women’s Semifinals, two champions of the freeskiing scene, Lisa Zimmermann of Germany and Kelly Sildaru of Estonia, meet in a battle for the ages. Meanwhile, in the second women’s match-up it’s a Swiss Freeski Team faceoff: Giulia Tanno versus teammate Mathilde Gremaud.
Who will make it into the finals? The choice is yours! Cast your vote below now. Semifinals voting will remain open until 8:00PM on Saturday, December 16. You may vote once per round.
