Here we go again! It's time for our annual roundup of ski movie trailers: the Downdays Trailer Yard. Big or small, pro or am, backcountry or street, the Trailer Yard runs the gamut of every ski movie coming out this fall that's worth a watch. We'll keep updating with new trailers as they come in, so keep checking back!

Featuring: Stan Rey, Alexi Godbout, Josh Daiek, Alex Beaulieu-Marchand, Emma Patterson, Jordy Kidner, Jess Hotter, Aaron Blunck, Jonathan Rollins, Mali Noyes, Greg Hill, Wyatt Gentry, Tucker Carr, Tenra Katsuno, Trevor Semmens
What they say: "This winter, a fortune awaits."
what we say: On the heels of their 2022 effort Feel Real, Blank is back with another globe-trotting, pow-slashing, face-shotting romp.
Featuring: Kai Jones, Ian McIntosh, Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Griffin Post, Nick McNutt, Tim Durtschi, Marcus Goguen, Jim Morrison, Christina Lustenberger, Colter Hinchliffe, Parkin Costain, Maggie Voisin, Jim Ryan, Jake Hopfinger, Jeremy Jones, Alex Armstrong, Simon Hillis, McRae Williams, WeiTien Ho
What they say: "Ski lore is riddled with stories, sometimes of unknown origin, describing plausible but extraordinary past events. Often shared on chairlifts, the skin track, or over a beer, these legendary tales, whether it be mythical storm cycles, heroic feats, or whispers of fantastical terrain, all contribute and shape our present experience. For 28 years Teton Gravity Research has been traveling the globe with the best athletes to the most incredible locations often based on this fabled history to uncover the experience…and sometimes creating legends of our own along the way."
what we say: Hey look, the TGR trailer is going heavy on freestyle — Finn Bilous owns like half of this thing! Combined with the rest of TGR's well-known send squad, the latest offer from the gravity researchers looks like it's well worth a watch.
Featuring: Mark Abma, Sammy Carlson, Logan Pehota, Tonja Kvivik, Nikolai Schirmer, Caite Zeliff, McKenna Peterson, John Collinson, Colby Stevenson, Janelle Yip, Sam Kuch, Ari Tricomi, Karl Fostvedt, Coline Ballet-Baz, Craig Murray, Emily Childs, Dennis Ranalter, Xander Guldman, Hedvig Wessel, Lucy Sackbauer, Stinius Skjøtskift, Gen Sasaki, Sam Cohen, Marcus Goguen
What they say: "The story of man vs. mountain is one that has captured our imaginations for centuries. But what if MSP flipped the script? What if, instead of focusing on the human element, we took a closer look at the mountains themselves? That's the premise of The Land of Giants, a new ski film that explores the most iconic mountains on Earth. From the Fjords of Norway to the spines of Alaska, we will get to know and understand the canvas that creates the most mind-melting moments in skiing. But most importantly, we'll come to appreciate their sheer beauty and power. Captured with revolutionary cinematography combined with genre bending music, The Land of Giants is not to be missed. The Land of Giants features the best skiers in the world, skiing unbelievable conditions and riding to the very edge and beyond. It's a celebration of the natural world, and a reminder of the power of the human spirit. It's a film that will leave you awestruck, inspired, and humbled. Join us on this journey into The Land of Giants."
what we say: It's nice to see MSP changing things up with a new concept for their latest offer. Of course, with top-rung cinematography and a legendary crew of heavy-hitters including a stacked women's field, it's not like they need to change much. In particular, the trailer features some very interesting drone work on big spine lines—you have our attention.
Featuring: Craig Murray, Derek Deans, Fiona Murray, Kenji Boekholt, Carlos Garcia Knight, Mitchell Davern, Tom Fisher, Ben Richards
What they say: "A film by Finlay Woods that follows Craig Murray's approach to new lines in Aotearoa. Coming November 2023."
what we say: Absolute shred monster Craig Murray has been mixing things up lately in the ski-film scene in Aotearoa (that's the Māori name for New Zealand), with offerings like The Great Alpine Highway 73. We're excited to see what Murray and his co-conspirator Finlay Woods have cooked up for us this time around.
Featuring: Thayne Rich, Karl Fostvedt, Chris Logan, Kai Van Bueren, McRae Williams, Lars Chickering-Ayers, Toby Rafford, Collin Collins, WingTai Barrymore, Nick Reedy, Harlan Collins, Smasher
What they say: "A film by Karl Fostvedt dropping November 6th 2023."
what we say: If you haven't already seen Brap Ski and Brap Ski 2, you're missing out. Karl Fostvedt has rallied the sleds for a third edition of the Brap Ski saga because, as we know, all good things come in threes.
Featuring: Jonny Moseley, Donny Pelletier, Daron Rahlves, JT Holmes, Amie Engerbretson, Connery Lundin, Glen Plake, Marcus Caston, Wendy Fisher, Brian Rice, Tristan Feinberg, Steve Stepp, Nate Barber, Allesandro Barbieri, Cass Jarrell, Madison Rose, Michelle Parker
What they say: "Warren Miller’s ALL TIME is bringing 74 years of filmmaking reimagined to a theater near you this fall. And this season, it's all about good turns and good snow on good hills with good people. Celebrate the birth of ski towns like Sun Valley and Aspen, icons and innovators like the original hotdoggers, and the most outlandish locations ever skied. Then, catch up with Maine’s finest athlete of today, Donny Pelletier, and meet the next generation at Woodward Park City. Through it all, Jonny Moseley and special guests will share their own stories to bring us to this moment."
what we say: Remember Warren Miller Entertainment? The guys who sued no one other than... Warren Miller himself? Yeah, fuck those guys. But wait just a minute. Is that... Steve Stepp... in the athletes' list? The Steve Stepp? If so, this might be the first Warren Miller movie that we watch since, like... ever.
Featuring: Jonah Williams, Ethan Swadburg, Tenra Katsuno, Jacob Callaghan, Ken Kishimoto
What they say: "Two beautiful souls operating in alignment from Japan to the Eastern Sierra."
what we say: Honestly, maybe it's a good thing that Level 1 Productions stopped making full movies, because since then they've become a carrier for great-looking projects like this one. Jonah Williams, Gavin Rudy, Japan and some weird Euro-pop—honestly, what more could you ask for?
Featuring: Sander Hadley, Alex Lundstrom, Dillon Flinders, Megan Dingman, Anthony Carmola
What they say: "A Dynastar North American short film featuring rippers Sander Hadley, Alex Lundstrom, Dillon Flinders, Megan Dingman, and Anthony Carmola. This crew teamed up with Level 1 to bring each of their unique flavors to a film together. On-piste and off, these rippers worked their hearts out and put their bodies on the line to bring you something rowdy. Premiering around America via the Level 1 Film Tour, and coming to you digitally later this fall."
what we say: Old heads will remember the Dynastar team in its glory days, with Candide Thovex, Dave Crichton, Mickael Deschenaux, the Three Phils... While those days are long since past, we're excited to see what this new crop of Dynastar rippers has in store for us. And don't forget the Euro shredders next time!
Featuring: Jake Mageau
What they say: "The inimitable Jake Mageau syncs up with friend and director Brady Perron for the third installment of their collaboration with Level 1: "Wind for Whistles." The film unfolds a special place and time in freeskiing, a place where Mageau’s athleticism meets his artistry - where past meets present. From the eastern seaboard to the most north western locations, enjoy the camaraderie that is Wind for Whistles. Make some noise."
what we say: The collabs between Mr. Mango and Brady Perron are already legendary — do yourself a favor and rewatch Freehand and Something In The Water to get jazzed up for the latest from this spicy combination of skier and director.
Featuring: Emil Granbom, Jess Hotter, Jordy Kidner, Hedvig Wessel, Cole Richardson, Jenna Keller, Tao Kreibich, Aaron Blunck, Ian Morrison, Abel Moga, Xander Guldman, Evan McEachran, Jonathan Rollins, Sabrina Cakmakli, Billy Lloyd Blainey, Blake Marshall, Jesper Tjäder, Carl Regnér Eriksson, Luke Miele, Luca Schuler, Nicola Bolinger, Sandra Eie, Mitchell Long, Fadri Rhyner, Juan Bolinger, Floyd Guy, Vebjørn Gråberg, Sven Peillex, Johan Berg, Meredith Eades
What they say: "HEAD is proud to present the official teaser for UNIFIED. In HEAD Freeskiing's inaugural feature-length film, "Unified," the team explores the unifying bond around the sport we all cherish. From endless deep powder & staircases of heavenly pillows, to iconic spine filled peaks - this spirited & dynamic team takes you on a lighthearted journey through the 2023 season and the shared experiences that unite them. From Japan to Austria to Canada and beyond, watch the team's season unfold, showcasing not only their remarkable skills & irreverent humour but the incredible places their skiing adventures take them. Featuring the HEAD Freeskiing team & family."
what we say: It's not often these days that a ski company goes all-out on a team movie. So it's exciting to see HEAD Freeskiing throw their hat into the ring with a full-length offer from their full team: North American and Euro. Big mountain meets slopestyle, powder pillows meet rails in this exciting serve-up from HEAD and longtime filmmaker Jeff Thomas. Plus: plenty of action from our very own Gaptastic Voyage!
Featuring: Elyse Saugstad, Jackie Paaso, Cody Townsend, Reine Barkered, Leanne Pelosi, Indiana Townsend, Tor Paaso
What they say: "Two professional skiers, two new mothers, one sponsorship. A quirky documentary style film capturing the highs and lows of two women determined to succeed with side-splitting, hilarious moments."
what we say: As Monty Python would say: And now for something completely different! This looks like a refreshingly new take on the ski-movie genre, courtesy of two rad moms and some talented British filmmakers.
Featuring: Will Wesson, Reagan Wallis, Patrick Ring, Kale Cimperman, Bennie Osnow, Andy Parry, Tucker Fitzsimons, Pete Koukov, Taylor Lundquist, Dasha Agafonova, Mitchell Brower and friends
What they say: "A street skiing video by Will Wesson and Patrick Ring."
what we say: What's this you say? A Will Wesson producer credit on a new street movie backed by LINE? You have our full and complete attention.
Featuring: Alex Hall, Koga Hoshino, Antti Ollila, Mac Forehand, Vasu Sojitra, Micah Evangelista, Sophia Rouches, Brooklyn Bell, Mathilde Gremaud, Sarah Hoefflin, Margaux Hackett, Giulia Tanno, Tim McChesney, Duncan Adams, Blake Wilson, Elias Syrjä, Kadi Gomis, Tormod Frostad, Matěj Švancer, Štěpán Hudeček, Gianni Biello, Dan Hanka, Dylan Deschamps
What they say: "Skiing is not art, and skiers are not artists. Unless, of course, skiing is art and skiers are artists? Faction's fourth feature film exhibits pure creativity through a series of freeski sequences—from the vibrant streets of Japan, to the powdery pillows of British Columbia, to the finely-manicured terrain parks of Switzerland and Italy. Each location provides a blank canvas for the team’s artistic expression. Because nothing screams “artist” like sending large cliffs and grinding the side of buildings."
what we say: The undisputed kings of team filmmaking, Faction is back with their fourth full-length production. With a team of this depth and breadth, from park performers to backcountry killers and everything between, all aligned before the masterful eye of director Etienne Mérel, you're practically guaranteed a masterpiece. The bar is set high on this one.
Featuring: Jennie-Lee Burmasson, Isabella Tvede-Jensen, Shiori Takahashi, Taylor Brooke Lundquist
What they say: "The crew enters the lovely country of Japan in search of street rails, powder, good food and culture. With a cast from all over the world, coming together to share their passion for skiing and the connections it has brought them."
what we say: After years of stacking clips for various movies and projects, this year Taylor Brooke Lundquist decided to take the helm on her own women's-only movie project. We're plenty excited to see the result.
Featuring: Josh Daiek, Trevor Semmens, Stan Rey
What they say: "Redemption. In the end, that was the objective for Mountain State 2.0. That one line had gotten the best of us and there was no way we weren't going back to give it another go. You know who had different plans? Mother nature, that's who. She turned the snow faucet on full blast and pointed it straight at Nevada, stacking up snow in the mountains in record fashion. Did we get redemption? I guess you'll have to watch to find out. Did we have some of the deepest days and ski some of the rowdiest lines we ever thought possible? You're damn right we did."
what we say: Josh's Daiek's personal project dedicated to the hidden corners of Nevada, aka the Mountain State, returns for a much-needed sequel. Prepare for puckering.
Featuring: Wyatt Gentry, Tucker Carr, Luke Gentry, Claire Mcpherson, Danny Garringer, Alexi Godbout, Stan Rey
What they say: "Make a ski movie they said. All you gotta worry about is skiing they said. In hindsight, maybe we should have known that there was a bit more to skiing than just skiing. But damn it if the head games didn't hit hard this winter as we tackled the creation of our second film. From Junior Freeride World Championships and Kings & Queens of Corbett's to classic Canadian terrain and teeing off in the Tetons, we stepped up to newer and bigger objectives while at the same time figuring out how to navigate the mental side of being a skier."
what we say: The follow-up to last year's "A Little Rogue. A Little Rowdy." continues to follow the Gentry brothers, Tucker Carr and friends on their journey of becoming.
Featuring: Jacob Belanger, Kyle Coxworth, Luca Natale, Cat Agnew, Shondra Charbonneau, Will Fossum
What they say: "Here it is, what we've been working on for the past year, "Water The Plants" coming this fall. This project is a special one, had many unforgettable times working on this one with the crew and I can't thank everyone who helped enough. Full version will be online later this fall with screenings in Whistler, Vancouver, Victoria, Rossland and other TBD. Hope we see you there!"
what we say: Heads up, this hungry young Canadian crew is coming in hot.
Featuring: Colby Stevenson, Tom Wallisch, Maggie Voisin, Tucker Fitzsimons, Tim McChesney, Thayne Rich, Quinn Wolferman, Mac Forehand, Jake Doan, Blake Wilson, Walker Woodring, Henrik Harlaut, Niklas Eriksson, Grant Howard, Ryan McElmon, Robert Ruud, Mitchell Brower
What they say: "Early mornings, long days, and late nights. The Good Company crew spent the season shredding record breaking snowfall. Everyday searching out new spots, stacking blocks, and increasing our knowledge of the mountains around us. The full season of street and backcountry moments when compiled together is truly the “Crescendo” of an all time winter."
what we say: Another clean offering from Good Company with a solid roster of eminently watchable skiers. Yeah, this one's on the watch list for sure.
Featuring: Thomas Delfino, Lea Klaue, Aurelien Hardy
What they say: "There are a thousand ways to tell a story. This one follows a different way of experiencing time, one that guides our protagonists all throughout the twenty-two day expedition in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan. Following in the footsteps of the country’s nomadic people and the ancient Silk Road, Thomas Delfino, Léa Klaue, and Aurélien Lardy embark on an adventure to one of the most remote and still unexplored places in Asia: the Kokshaal-Too Mountains. This dream team, with support from legendary high-mountain guides Hélias Millerioux and Jean-Yves Fredriksen, find themselves thrown into a world where Time and Space appear to stand still."
what we say: Snowboarder Thomas Delfino is the headliner here, so technically you might call this a snowboard flick. But skier Aurelien Hardy is in the mixtoo, and we're always down for a classic adventure flick presented by Picture Organic Clothing... so here we are, headed to Kyrgyzstan on what is doubtless one wild ride.
Featuring: Sam Favret, Nikolai Schirmer
What they say: "Sam Favret joined Nikolai Schirmer at his home in the far north in Norway, to discover the secrets of narrow couloirs descended at full throttle, slopes that plunge straight down to the sea and days that push back the nights."
what we say: Sam Favret and Nikolai Schirmer are one wicked combination of shred talent. Pucker alarm set to 10 on this one.
Featuring: Sybille Blanjean
What they say: "Verso takes viewers on a journey with Sybille as she seeks to push her freeriding skills to new heights. Through her experiences, the film explores the evolving perspective of the mountains, emphasizing solidarity, trust, and the joy of shared moments. From risks and resilience to the profound happiness found in the mountains, "Verso" delves into the essence of mountain experiences, highlighting the importance of connection and the pure joy of being in the mountains."
what we say: After her work last year with Elisabeth Gerritzen for Fragments Choisis, director Alicia Cenci has found a new subject in Sybille Blanjean.

Featuring: Tao Kreibich, Arthur Garreau, Quentin Caramello, David Deliv, Sébastian Varlet
What they say: "We're happy to release the teaser of our adventure up north! This has been an amazing trip. Going to the unknown, we had no much expectations… But the landscapes, the untouched nature, the wildlife and the mountains there are just from another world 🤯 Skiing and living on this icy island was quite tough and challenging, we were lucky to have such a great group of locals leading us and making us discover these places. Thanks guys we lived an unique adventure! We can’t wait to show you what we lived there.
what we say: Charging like this, on lines like this, in a location like this, sounds about as fun as wrestling with a polar bear. Join this crew for a one-of-a-kind freeride adventure above the Arctic Circle.

Featuring: Henrik Harlaut, Noah Albaladejo
What they say: "Happy to be joining the Level 1 film tour this fall across America to show our new ski film! Me and Noah will be at the Denver, Bozeman and SLC premieres so make sure to come out, support and say whatup! Full film will release online 10/10/23 - got some BIG news about the release so stay tuned!"
what we say: Okay, this isn't much of a trailer per se, but hey, it's Dollo and Noah, so we're gonna cut them some slack. If you don't catch this one at the Level 1 premiere tour, it'll be online soon.

Featuring: Joona Sipola, Anni Karava, Matias Suomi, Benjamin Carlund, Harald Hellström, Aapo Myllarinen, Mainio Ormio
What they say: "Dropping this fall!"
what we say: If you aren't going to give the best urban crew in skiing a couple of your hard-earned dollars when this movie comes out, what are you even doing with your life? God knows they deserve it. If you pay for any ski movie this year, pay for this one.
Featuring: Kuura Koivisto
What they say: "Dropping this fall on the Armada Skis YouTube Channel."
what we say: Kuura Koivisto might be the best skier that you haven't heard about, so we're stoked to see him getting his own personal project — with the same guy who films Forre, no less. Expect some true insanity on this one. Anything is possible when Kuura is in the park.
Featuring: Mat Dufresne, Phil Boily-Doucet, Paul Vieuxtemps
What they say: "Back in the streets of MTL, we have another heater for you. Mat Dufresne, Phil Boily-Doucet & Paul Vieuxtemps risked it all in front of the lens of Xavier Mayrand in one of those rare cases where the sequel does outdo the original."
what we say: It just wouldn't be trailer season without a few boys going hard in the streets of Quebec, now would it?
