On the last night of the X Games in Aspen, Mac Forehand got a perfect score of 50 with a double 2160 Cuban. Teal Harle was hot on his heels when he absolutely stomped a triple 18 bringback to 16. Norwegian Big Air specialist Birk Ruud got bronze with his best trick, a switch triple 1980. Mac’s perfect 50 matched Megan Oldham’s score in the women’s event from Friday.

Matej Svancer again missed out on a medal, it was however less controversial than last year. It was equally eventful and creative as he chased that quad. He appeared to be buckling his boots on the way down for one attempt and twice double ejected, but landed on his feet both times! Never change Matej.
Alex Hall seemed to go out of his way to dispel any accusations of a"spin to win" approach. Starting off with a cork 180 before attempting to bring elements of the Knuckle Huck to the Big Air, with a switch 14 to knuckle switch butter 3, but the judges weren't particularly generous to his creativity.
Antoine Adelisse slammed hard on his hip, chasing a quad, in his third attempt. He was back on his feet though and healthy enough to complete his comp.
In the end it was Forehand's night, with a well-deserved gold. Teale Harle and Birk Ruud left with medals around their necks too.
