Freeski Friday Jam Sessions opens the premiere edition of SnowFest Innsbruck
On Friday November 25, 2022, SNOWFEST INNSBRUCK will kick off with FREESKI FRIDAY Jam Session in front of Tiroler Landestheater.
A one-of-a-kind urban set-up will be constructed over a two-storey scaffolding frame covered by recycled snow – directly in front of the theater. The list of invited athletes is insane and includes 2019 Slopestyle World Champion James Woods (GB), 2021 X-Games silver medalist Ferdinand Dahl (NOR), Ryan Stevenson (USA), Chris McCormick (GB) and Torge Nagel (GER). The jam session is in the heart of Innsbruck just underneath Nordkette. The local crowd will be cheering for Austrian Matej Svancer, who won his first world cup a year ago. Marco Ladner, Austria’s youngest Olympian, will participate as well as Laura Wallner. The best rider of the session will win a Wildcard for Red Bull Playstreets in Bad Gastein in February 2023.

The central element of SnowFest Innsbruck is the Winter Sports Village. Freeski, snowboard, alpine skiing, bob, skeleton, ski jumping, luge, ice hockey or ice stick shooting: the Winter Sports Village presents a big variety of winter sports on Saturday and Sunday and offers easy access. Get to know them and try them out on various stations, on the simulator, on the mat or on snow. Find Freeski Austria together with Freeski Innsbruck at their booth in the Winter Sports Village. The sportive program is rounded off by the legendary Rock A Rail Snowboard Contest with the international premiere of the event. SnowFest Innsbruck is accessible free of charge.
